“I saw several "We buy Houses" on the local TV
and in print. So I called them and the headaches began immediately. Several offered a ridiculously
low price, about 70% of the appraised value. One "expert" wanted me to pay exorbitant commissions
and fees that just didn't seem right.
Another "expert" wanted to look at my
title/deed. Another "expert" wanted me to sign some papers immediately. By now my alarms were just

politely reject all their offers because I had other more viable options. Because I had
equity in my home he suggested that I sell the house before my financial situation got worse.
I now have the house listed on some real estate websites such as Zillow, Craigslist and the online
version of the Washington Post. The house has not sold yet but at least I know that I'm in
